The short version
Nothing that measures you loads until you agree, and you are asked about two things separately: analytics, which counts visits, and marketing, which measures our advertising. If you say no, those tags are never loaded at all, rather than loaded and told to behave.
What is set without asking
Only what the site needs to work: a session cookie, and a security token that stops a form being submitted from another site in your name. Neither is used to measure or profile you. A payment or chat provider sets its own when you open checkout or start a chat, because you asked for the thing it provides.
What is set only if you agree
Analytics and marketing tags, and only the ones this site runs. The list below is built from the site's live settings and names every cookie it can, so it changes when a service is added or removed.
Where your answer is kept
In your browser's local storage, under seo-consent, not in a cookie.
It stays on the device you answered on, so answering on a phone does not
answer for a laptop. We ask again after twelve months, and sooner if the
site adds a service you were not asked about.
Changing your mind
Use "Cookie settings" at the foot of any page. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing: switch a purpose off and save, and the page reloads without its tags. We also remove the cookies those tags set on this site; cookies a service set on its own domain are that service's to expire.
